Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Cup Cut off the hardened rim (the top rolled edge) of the paper cup to make it easier to fold. Gently squeeze the cup to flatten it slightly, then divide the rim into 4 equal sections. Cut downward about 2–3 cm into each section.
Step 2: Create More Flaps Continue dividing those sections to create a total of 8 equal flaps around the top of the cup.
Step 3: Create the Crease Fold one flap downward to create a sharp crease, as shown in the image.
Step 4: Seal the Box Repeat the folding process for all remaining flaps. As you fold, overlap each flap slightly to the left to create a beautiful spiral effect. Apply a small amount of glue to the last one or two flaps to secure the lid in place.
